Meet Our New SEO Executive

As a university graduate, one of the biggest worries on my mind was the next stage, starting my career. Will I pick the right industry? Is this job right for me? Will I fit in? Amidst the anxiety ridden process that is applying for jobs, an opportunity at Summit appeared, and here we are! I’m about to hit my 1-month anniversary and writing a blog post about my experience here, crazy, isn’t it? 

With all that being said, let’s get started. 

Words alone cannot describe how much I have loved my time here at Summit so far. There are too many positives to talk about in a short blog post, so I’ll pick some of the key highlights of my experience to talk about. 

Summit People and Culture 

The first is the people and the office culture. As someone who is very people orientated, Summit’s welcoming and inclusive culture was one of many things that caught my attention about the business. Not only are you surrounded by top quality professionals who excel in their roles, but those same professionals are also people I can call my friends inside and outside of work. Never before have I had such a warm welcome to a role where I have been given so much support and guidance from all over the business, including the CEO and Owner! The people orientated culture at Summit is truly incredible, and it is something I will always value for the rest of my career. 

The SEO Team 

As much as I’d love to write pages and pages about how amazing the people are at Summit, there are other aspects I am eager to talk about, with the next topic being the SEO team. As a member of the SEO team, they also deserve some extra special credit here, as they made me feel like a part of the team almost instantly, and I am extremely grateful to be working alongside them. When working with these amazingly talented people, I feel like I can truly be myself, which allows me to further excel and develop my skills as an SEO Executive. This team truly is amazing, and I can’t wait for the many years to come! 

Summit Events 

Another element of Summit that needs to be mentioned is the annual awards ceremony, The Summit Oscars. I was lucky enough to be able to attend this ceremony on my 3rd day at Summit, and it was incredible! Being able to see people be officially recognised for their efforts and achievements is a wonderful thing, and everyone was in good spirits. The awards cover all aspects of the business, which means that everyone has a chance to win something – there’s even a newcomer of the year award which has me more motivated than ever! This is one of many events that Summit hosts and I can’t wait for the next one. 

If you haven’t noticed from the previous 450 words, I have really loved my time here at Summit so far. In just 1 month, they have easily quashed all those prior worries from after I graduated, and I can comfortably say that applying for my current role was the best decision I could have made. Not only am I extremely happy with what I’m doing and the people around me, but I also feel like I’m in an environment that enables me to grow and excel. 

So, whether you’re someone who is fresh out of education, or whether you’re a professional with years of experience, I can say with confidence that you won’t regret applying for a job at Summit.
